I was down the coast this weekend at a place called Kings cliff, the weather has been just too good, so we grabbed a tent and headed south. While I was there I stumbled across this incredible marine antiques store packed to the absolute brim with nautical items; from old vintage sea buoys and lures, to huge whale vertebrae, old chunky compasses and beautiful brass nautical lanterns. I'll have to post some photos of it soon, but this place just reminded me so much of The Fish Shop designed by Sibella Court, which opened in Potts Point, Sydney earlier this year.

The walls in this fish shack are laden with old fascinating marine memorabilia, styled in a wonderfully Sibella Court way.  I don't know why I haven't posted about her sooner, she is an incredible designer I totally admire. She has such a unique style and a real collectors approach to it that brings out fascinating and beautifully curated spaces.

The fish shop is full of great nautical bits and bobs sourced from all over Australia, beautiful old nautical lights and a great selection of finishes are used throughout the space. My favourite design element though, has to be the rustic wooden wall full of old antique fishing flies and lures.
