Plantation flagship store design was a collaborative process between Jennifer Lowe and Brooke Thorn of Barbara and Fellows, and Adele Winteridge of Foolscap Studio.

Inspired by associations with the colonial era, leafy coffee plantations and ornate architecture, the Plantation Coffee House used striking red and white tiled floors to allude to the deep shady balconies of plantation houses. Materials such as natural stone, timber, copper joinery and hand-forged steel facade doors set the tone and aesthetic of the space.

Focusing on the customer experience, the Plantation Coffee House encourages customer interaction with alternative coffee making methods such as the custom made cold-drip coffee available in takeaway bottles. The 'aroma station' is a key customer experience, located centrally in the retail area where you can lift the lid on glass cloches to smell the unique aroma of each blend.

  1. Absolutely love the look of the Plantation. My only regret that it is in Melbourne as whenever I make it back to Australia I head to Sydney and NSW. Hope they expand and head north. :)
