WORK SPACE INSPIRATION

This weekend I will be both working and re-vamping my office. I have been spending a lot of time in my office lately and I think it is important to have a workspace that makes you smile. I went out and bought myself a new desk the other weekend,  As you can see, I have developed quite a thing for trestle legs.. So I bought myself two, with a two meter long table top! It is just perfect for sprawling out my pantone's, pencils and yellow trace on!

Here are a few tips for how to create an inspirational office space:

  1. Keep it bright! Color can really lift your mood, add splashes of it with artworks on the wall, postcards you love or pictures you have printed.
  2. Display your stationary in cute and quirky ways. I love how the image above has coloured pencils displayed in a glass dome!
  3. Add potted plants or flowers! I prefer potted plants because they last longer and you are can enjoy them for longer :)
  4. Keep it organised. Tidy your desk after each day. An organised space = an organised mind. Make it fun and think outside the box for organisational stationary like painted glass jars or vintage items you find at flea markets.
  5. Most importantly - keep yourself inspired. I have a huge map on my wall to constantly remind me of what makes me happy; travel! Put up inspirational quotes or images that reflect your goals and aspirations. Looking at them every day is a constant reminder of where you want to be.

Have a great weekend everyone!
