I love mood boards! I recently made one and i filled it with beautiful old photographs, material and images that i like. Above were the images that inspired me. To make one yourself, all you need is:

  • Foam core or cheap Foam (Try hardware stores or art and craft stores) to the size you want
  • Material of your choice to cover the front and sides. Allow at least 10-20cm excess to wrap around the back
  • Heavy duty tape or a hot glue gun
  • some stick on hooks (available at hardware stores)

They are easy to make! I bought some thick 20mm Foam core  (You could use any cheap foam you find but i thought this would be more durable) I bought some natural canvas from Spotlight, but you can get this from any fabric store. Take the fabric and wrap it around the foam, the same way you would wrap a gift. Try to be neat so your edges don't look daggy! I used some heavy duty tape at the back to keep it all in place! but depending on the surface you are using, a hot glue gun can also do the trick! Make sure you pull it firmly around the board, add some stick on hooks and you're ready to hang it up!

You can cover the Foam in any fabric you like! Even wallpaper! its a simple way to liven up your bedroom, office or kitchen, and to keep you inspired every day.
